Let’s Meet
Hello, I’m Yuliya.
I grew up in Bukhara, where my first pilgrimages began in childhood. Since then, I have called several countries home, spent fifteen years teaching primary school and raised two sons, who are now at university.
The Sacred Pathways brings together my interests in art, psychology, spirituality, pilgrimage and writing. What connects them is my relationship with God. For me, each offers a way to come closer to Him.
Understanding ourselves through psychology can help us recognize what shapes our thoughts and actions. Creating something with care can become an act of devotion. Walking gives us time to notice, reflect and pray. Reading and writing can open conversations we might otherwise never have.
These are the connections I want to explore here, drawing on my own life, studies, spiritual practice and journeys. My pilgrimage book is one part of that, alongside my love of art and my interest in how we understand ourselves and relate to others.
I’m gradually bringing these parts of my life together on this website. I hope you find something here that feels familiar, raises a question, or encourages you to explore further.
